You have received your card and want to know what comes next? We have summarized the key points about the card PIN and card activation for you below. 

Did you order your card independently through your Online/Mobile banking? 

If you ordered the card through your Online or Mobile Banking, you will not receive another letter with your card PIN. You chose the card PIN yourself during the application process of your virtual card through your Online or Mobile Banking, and you can change it at any time after the initial use with the self-selected PIN via your Online and Mobile Banking via the “Cards” menu. 

Did you order your card from one of our employees at the branch or Service Center? 

If you ordered the card through an employee or our Service Center, you will receive another letter with your card’s PIN a few days after receiving the card. Your card is not active when you receive it, please activate the card via your Online or Mobile Banking. After activation, you can change the PIN of your card through your Online or Mobile Banking as you wish. 

Did you receive a new card due to an existing expired card? 

If you received a new card without actively ordering one, your existing card may have expired. In this case, the new card will have the same PIN as your previous expiring card. Your card is not active until you perform a transaction with PIN entry. After a transaction with PIN entry, you can change the PIN of your card through your Online or Mobile Banking.

If you have not received a PIN for your card ordered through the Service Center or a KT Bank employee within a week, please contact our Service Center at +49 69 255 10 200. We will be happy to assist you.

Please first carry out a transaction with the initial PIN. This verifies your identity and secures your account. After this transaction, you can change the PIN via the KT Bank’s online banking or mobile app. If you have any further questions, our Service Center is available at +49 69 255 10 200.

This could be your replacement card for a card that is soon to expire, in which case the PIN remains the same. If you have never had a card before, please contact our Service Center at +49 69 255 10 200.

The PIN for your new card is the same as the one you selected for the associated virtual card. No separate PIN is sent. You can immediately start using your card with this PIN.

First, order a virtual card through your Online or Mobile Banking and set a PIN for it. Then, you can request the printing of the virtual card as a physical card in the card menu. The PIN of your new physical card will remain the same as that of the virtual card.

Once you have set a PIN for your virtual card, you can convert it into a physical card via the card menu in Online or Mobile Banking.
